TIME FOR BED!
Simply showcased on a bed of recycled pallets, Futurefrock brings you a sustainable display of bedding and home accessories.By Lucy Bloomfield.
Conceptualized in two looks, we have catered for the tranquil calm of a bright room and the luxurious romance of a darker candlelit space. Illustrating some key seasonal pieces available in the ethical homewares market, these sumptuous accessories depict the romantic nature of this Lovers and Dreamers issue, with the winged shapes and undulating texture.
For our shoot contributing stockiest range from the more established homewares brands like Conran and Toast to the likes of Damson & Slate and Of Special Interest, who offer more of a boutique shopping experience. As quoted on her website, Hilary Lowe at Damson & Slate is certainly succeeding in her mission to prove that 'Welsh crafts need not equate with fluffy red dragons'. Far from uniformity and mass production, Damson & Slate are a winner in ethical trading with their carefully selected range of handcrafted accessories for the home. Fine Cell Work are responsible for the single-handed and meticulously produced needlework cushions. Made by British prisoners, this charity not only helps foster hope, discipline and self-esteem it also connects those to society when they leave prison-life, providing some financial security and self-confidence. With a generous range of products available, from modern to traditional collections, Fine Cell Work has something for everyone.
Excitingly there is a real emerging readiness to move forward to a more sustainable way of manufacturing products in the homeware industry, so we can all look forward to more choice without sacrificing style and quality. This year at Top Drawer & Home saw the launch of an eco-trail, handpicked by TV Presenter and environmental champion Oliver Heath, which was a new and welcome guide to the best new sustainable products.

Thankyou for the opportunity to see these gorgeous images – I especially LOVED the cushions, having gone to view FCW’s page I was really moved to read about prisoners who’ve taken to sewing, wonderful heart-warming stuff!
